Chhattisgarh Receives Varied Rainfall; Bijapur Leads with 404.7 mm

State-level data highlights district-wise rainfall patterns since June

TFP Bureau Raipur; July 14, 2024: The Revenue and Disaster Management Department’s State Level Control Room has reported an average rainfall of 248.5 mm across Chhattisgarh since June 1, 2024. This data, compiled till July 14, reveals varying rainfall patterns across the state, with Bijapur district recording the highest average rainfall of 404.7 mm, while Surguja district recorded the lowest at 129.0 mm.

According to reports from the State Level Flood Control Room, rainfall averages from June 1 till date include 192.3 mm in Surajpur, 327.9 mm in Balrampur, 233.5 mm in Jashpur, and 234.8 mm in Korea. Other notable figures include 317.2 mm in Bilaspur, 302.6 mm in Mungeli, and 309.7 mm in Raigarh.

In central districts, Raipur recorded 192.9 mm, Baloda Bazar 272.2 mm, and Mahasamund 198.3 mm. Southern regions saw 371.2 mm in Korba, 316.3 mm in Gaurela-Pendra-Marwahi, and 297.6 mm in Bastar. Meanwhile, northern districts like Kabirdham recorded 228.8 mm and Rajnandgaon 189.4 mm.

Districts in eastern Chhattisgarh, such as Kanker with 234.9 mm and Dantewada with 292.9 mm, also experienced substantial rainfall, contributing to the seasonal averages. Detailed data is available on the state government’s official platforms, providing insights into regional precipitation trends during the ongoing monsoon season.
