TFP Bureau, Raipur, July 20, 2024: In a significant move to honor the revered role of teachers, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai has announced that Guru Purnima will be celebrated in all schools across the state this year. The initiative aims to strengthen the bond between students and their teachers, fostering respect and gratitude towards the educational mentors.
Guru Purnima, a festival that venerates the Guru as a pivotal guide in the pursuit of knowledge and personal growth, will see a range of activities in schools starting July 22. These activities include Saraswati Vandana, Guru Vandana, and lectures by students on the importance of Gurus. Senior teachers will share memorable experiences with their students, and there will be essay writing and poetry recitation focused on the theme of Guru’s role in education and life.
This marks the first time Guru Purnima is being officially celebrated in schools since the formation of Chhattisgarh, a move expected to enhance the educational environment and instill a sense of responsibility and respect among both teachers and students.
On the same day, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai will be actively participating in Guru Purnima celebrations across the state. He will begin his tour with a visit to the Jamdi Pateshwar Ashram in Balod district, departing from Raipur at 10:35 am and arriving at 11:05 am. Following this, he will travel to Banora village in Raigarh district for Shri Guru Darshanam and then proceed to Kosmanara. The Chief Minister’s visit to Kosmanara is scheduled from 3:30 pm to 4:00 pm, after which he will return to Raipur.
This dual approach of honoring Gurus in educational institutions while actively participating in regional celebrations underscores the government’s commitment to nurturing a robust teacher-student relationship and fostering a positive educational atmosphere in Chhattisgarh.
