Guru Purnima, a festival that venerates the Guru as a pivotal guide in the pursuit of knowledge and personal growth, will see a range of activities in schools starting July 22. These activities include Saraswati Vandana, Guru Vandana, and lectures by students on the importance of Gurus. Senior teachers will share memorable experiences with their students, and there will be essay writing and poetry recitation focused on the theme of Guru’s role in education and life.

This marks the first time Guru Purnima is being officially celebrated in schools since the formation of Chhattisgarh, a move expected to enhance the educational environment and instill a sense of responsibility and respect among both teachers and students.

On the same day, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai will be actively participating in Guru Purnima celebrations across the state. He will begin his tour with a visit to the Jamdi Pateshwar Ashram in Balod district, departing from Raipur at 10:35 am and arriving at 11:05 am.
