TFP Bureau, Raipur; July 25, 2024 – Chhattisgarh has received an average rainfall of 460.7 mm since the onset of the monsoon season on June 1, 2024, according to data compiled by the State Level Control Room under the Revenue and Disaster Management Department.
The district of Bijapur has reported the highest rainfall, while Surguja has recorded the least. Detailed rainfall figures from June 1 to July 25 indicate significant variations across different districts.
Surajpur received 281.9 mm, Balrampur 420.4 mm, Jashpur 305.4 mm, Korea 290.8 mm, and Manendragarh-Chirmiri-Bharatpur 300.8 mm.
In central and southern districts, Raipur recorded 406.2 mm, Balodabazar 440.8 mm, Gariaband 534.1 mm, Mahasamund 371.3 mm, Dhamtari 555.7 mm, Bilaspur 436.3 mm, and Mungeli 487.0 mm.
Raigad and Raigarh-Billigarh both saw 366.8 mm, Janjgir-Champa 370.6 mm, Sakti 316.6 mm, Korba 514.0 mm, Gourela-Pendra-Marwahi 429.4 mm, and Durg 310.4 mm.
In the western districts, Kabirdham reported 375.1 mm, Rajnandgaon 560.6 mm, Mohla-Manpur-Ambagarhchowki 571.5 mm, Khairagarh-Chuikhadan-Gandai 354.7 mm, Balod 658.6 mm, and Balodabazar 276.7 mm.
Southern regions like Bastar reported 607.1 mm, Kanker 635.6 mm, Narayanpur 613.5 mm, Dantewada 622.8 mm, and Sukma the highest at 791.5 mm.
