TFP Bureau, Raipur; July 28, 2024: Union Minister of State for Women and Child Development, Mrs. Savitri Thakur, conducted a comprehensive review meeting with senior officials of the Women and Child Development Department at the Naya Raipur rest house today. The primary focus was to evaluate the progress of various departmental schemes and address any challenges in their implementation.
During the meeting, Mrs. Thakur received detailed progress reports and engaged in discussions on current obstacles and potential solutions. She emphasized the importance of effective implementation of schemes aimed at the development of women and children, stating,
“It is our priority to ensure these schemes reach and benefit the intended recipients.”
Mrs. Thakur urged officials to conduct regular ground-level inspections and provide all necessary support for the betterment of women and children. She highlighted that the future of the country relies on the well-being and development of its women and children, calling for a committed approach to their holistic growth.
The review covered key schemes such as Mahtari Vandan Yojana, Integrated Child Development Program, Child Protection Scheme, Anganwadi Services, Pradhan Mantri Matri Vandana Yojana, and Sakhi One Stop Center. Mrs. Thakur directed officials to launch awareness campaigns to inform beneficiaries about the available schemes and their benefits.
Secretary and Commissioner Smt. Shammi Abidi provided a detailed update on the welfare schemes for women and children in the state, outlining their progress. Also present at the meeting were Director of Women and Child Development Tulika Prajapati and other senior departmental officials.
