TFP Bureau, Raipur; July 28, 2024: Hidayatullah National Law University (HNLU) has announced the launch of the H-VISA (HNLU Visiting International Scholars Academy), a groundbreaking initiative to establish a global academic network starting from the 2024 academic year. The H-VISA program is designed to attract academic scholars from around the world, enhancing mutual academic cooperation and collaboration.
The H-VISA program aims to facilitate visits by academic scholars from leading universities worldwide for teaching and research at HNLU. Scholars participating in the H-VISA program will receive campus accommodation, research cabins, secretarial assistance, research scholar assistance, and other infrastructure support. Additionally, the program will sponsor international travel and provide suitable remuneration for their services during their engagement at HNLU.
Professor V.C. Vivekanandan, Vice-Chancellor of HNLU, commented on the launch, stating, “This program is an earnest effort for international engagement of HNLU in its academic and research pursuits. It will also enhance Raipur’s reputation as a city of academic excellence across multiple domains including law, technology, medicine, and arts.”
H-VISA jurists will be encouraged to join research efforts through HNLU’s R-HaS (Research Hub and Spoke) division, which includes five research schools: Law & Technology, Law & Governance, Law & Public Policy, Commercial Law & Arbitration, and Law & Humanities.
The H-VISA initiative is a flagship program under HEXA (Hidayatullah Exchange Academy), launched last year. HEXA has already established several Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with national and international academic institutions.
