TFP Bureau, Raipur; July 31, 2024: Under the leadership of Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, the Chhattisgarh government has launched several welfare schemes to enhance the quality of life for labourers. One such initiative is the ‘Mukhyamantri Noni Shashaktikaran Sahayata Yojana,’ which focuses on improving the living standards of daughters from labour families. Labour Minister Lakhan Lal Dewangan has urged officials to maximize the reach of these benefits.
The scheme aims to provide financial support to the daughters of labour families to aid their education and other essential needs. In Mahasamund district alone, 5,981 daughters have benefited, each receiving ₹20,000 directly into their bank accounts. This totals ₹11.96 crore in disbursements, offering crucial support to families struggling with educational expenses.
The Mukhyamantri Noni Shashaktikaran Sahayata Yojana is a significant step towards empowering the daughters of labour families and promoting their self-reliance. By supporting girls’ education and overall development, the scheme is making a positive impact across the state.
Geeta Nishad, a beneficiary from Ayodhya Nagar, Mahasamund, expressed her gratitude, stating that the funds will greatly assist her in pursuing higher education. She thanked the Chief Minister for this valuable support, which her family views as a tremendous help.
Eligibility for the scheme is limited to labourers registered with the Chhattisgarh Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board. Eligible individuals must register online via the official scheme website. The financial aid is available for the first two daughters of registered labour families, who must be between 18 and 21 years of age and unmarried, each receiving ₹20,000.
