TFP Bureau, Raipur; August 5, 2024:On Monday, Food Minister Dayaldas Baghel took part in two significant events in Nawagarh, Bemetara district.
At the Jan Samasya Nivaran Pakhwada camp organized by the Urban Administration Department in Nagar Panchayat Nawagarh, Baghel addressed concerns related to ration card distribution and food grain availability. He noted that the camp aims to resolve issues faced by those awaiting ration cards and reminded beneficiaries that applications for card renewals would be accepted until August 15. The renewal process can be completed online via the Food Department website or in person at local fair price shops. He emphasized the necessity of biometric updates for e-KYC and assured that the services would be provided free of charge.
Later in the day, Minister Baghel attended an orientation program at Government Koduram Dalit College. There, he introduced newly admitted students to the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, outlining its key features and objectives. The NEP emphasizes a holistic, multidisciplinary approach to education, including sports, arts, and vocational skills. Baghel also planted saplings on the college campus, reinforcing his commitment to environmental sustainability.
The orientation session, which also included Nagar Panchayat Nawagarh President Smt. Manjulata Ratre and Government K.R.D. College Principal Smt. M. Banjara, provided students and parents with detailed information on NEP provisions, such as credit-based courses and internal assessments.
