TFP Bureau, Raipur; August 15, 2024: In a landmark event, 100 brilliant students from Bijapur took their first-ever flight to Raipur as part of a study tour organized on the initiative of Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai. The students, who are in classes 9 to 11, were thrilled to experience air travel for the first time, flying from Jagdalpur to Raipur. During their visit, the students had the opportunity to meet with the Chief Minister at his residence, where they shared their dreams of becoming IAS officers, IPS officers, doctors, engineers, and business leaders.
Class 11 student Dimple Thakur described the excitement of her first flight to the Chief Minister.
“It was an exhilarating experience. I had always dreamed of coming to Raipur, but I never imagined I would arrive by airplane,” she said.
Thakur emphasized her determination to work hard and achieve her goals, to which the Chief Minister responded with words of encouragement. “You have the potential to reach great heights. Continue to study with dedication, and you will be successful in achieving your dreams,” said Chief Minister Sai.
During their visit to Raipur, the students explored significant sites including Muktangan, Jungle Safari, and Ram Temple. They also participated in the state-level Independence Day celebrations at the Police Parade Ground.
The Chief Minister engaged with the students, discussing their aspirations and emphasizing the importance of education. He informed them about the New Education Policy 2020, which links education with employment opportunities.
“You can excel not only in conventional fields like business but also in agriculture, animal husbandry, and more,” he advised, citing examples of IAS officers who have successfully ventured into farming.
Some students expressed a desire to become teachers, which the Chief Minister praised, noting that teachers are the true nation-builders who shape future leaders like IAS and IPS officers. He encouraged the students to dream big, work hard, and fulfill their parents’ wishes while striving for success.
The Chief Minister also discussed ongoing developmental initiatives in the region, including the Niyyad Nellnar Yojana, which aims to connect remote areas like Bijapur with the mainstream. He highlighted the establishment of security camps in Maoist-affected regions and the immense potential for tourism in Bastar, with its picturesque forests and tourist spots such as Chitrakote and Tirathgarh.
The students expressed their gratitude to the Chief Minister for the opportunity to experience air travel, with Class 10 student Nisha Yadav thanking him for fulfilling his promise. Another student, Akhilesh Mishra, extended an invitation to the Chief Minister to visit their school.
Chief Minister Sai concluded the meeting by wishing the students a bright future and emphasizing the importance of maintaining cleanliness, in line with the Swachh Bharat Mission. He inquired about the students’ living conditions in their hostel, to which they responded positively, praising the arrangements.
The students returned to Bijapur with renewed inspiration and a determination to achieve their ambitious goals, having been encouraged by their memorable encounter with the Chief Minister.
