TFP Bureau, Raipur; August 16, 2024: Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai today paid homage to former Prime Minister and Bharat Ratna recipient, the late Atal Bihari Vajpayee, on his death anniversary. In a solemn ceremony at his residence, Chief Minister Sai garlanded a photograph of Vajpayee, reflecting on the deep connection the people of Chhattisgarh share with the former leader. Dr. Rampratap Singh was also present at the event.
During the tribute, Chief Minister Sai remarked that Vajpayee was the architect of Chhattisgarh, acknowledging his pivotal role in the creation of the state. “The people of Chhattisgarh have a special attachment to Atal Ji. By respecting the sentiments of the people and granting this region statehood, he left an everlasting legacy,” Sai said.
The Chief Minister highlighted Vajpayee’s multifaceted talents, noting his accomplishments as a journalist, poet, and politician. He praised Vajpayee’s tenure as Prime Minister, during which several transformative schemes were implemented that significantly improved rural India. Sai emphasized that Vajpayee’s influence extended beyond party lines, earning him the love and respect of people across the nation.
“Atal Ji was dedicated to the glory and prestige of Mother India throughout his life. His principles of good governance continue to guide us as we strive for the development of Chhattisgarh,” the Chief Minister added.
Sai also shared personal memories of Vajpayee, expressing how the former Prime Minister’s life and leadership continue to inspire him.
