Frolic of Little Radha-Krishnas Lights Up Chief Minister’s Residence

TFP Bureau, Raipur; August 26, 2024: Krishna Janmashtami, the auspicious festival marking the birth of Lord Krishna, was celebrated with great enthusiasm at the residence of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai. This year, the Chief Minister chose to share the festivities with differently-abled children, bringing joy and inclusivity to the celebrations.

The Chief Minister’s residence was filled with the lively presence of 25 children from three differently-abled institutions in Raipur, who were dressed as Radha and Krishna. Shri Sai, in a heartfelt gesture, worshiped Lord Krishna alongside these children, praying for the happiness, prosperity, and well-being of the state. The highlight of the evening was when the Chief Minister gently swung a differently-abled child named Rudra, seated in a cradle, as Bal Gopal, symbolizing Lord Krishna.

Following the puja, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai personally distributed prasad to all the children, embracing them warmly and engaging them in conversation about their studies and lives. The children, who came from the Government School for the Visually and Hearing Impaired, Mathpuraina, and the Asthmadhit Balgrih and Multi-Disabled Balgrih in Mana, were delighted by the attention and care they received.

The Chief Minister expressed his joy in celebrating the festival with these children, stating,

“Celebrating Lord Krishna’s birth anniversary with these children is a matter of great pleasure and pride for me. Like other children of the state, these children are an integral part of our society, and we are committed to their better upbringing, education, and empowerment.”

The event was a touching reminder of the Chief Minister’s dedication to fostering an inclusive society, ensuring that every child, regardless of their abilities, is cherished and celebrated.
