TFP Bureau, Raipur; September 1, 2024: Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai has been formally invited to attend the 39th Chakradhar Samaroh, a prestigious cultural festival in Raigarh. The invitation was extended by Raigarh Collector Shri Kartikeya Goyal and Superintendent of Police Shri Divyang Patel during a courtesy visit to the Chief Minister’s residence in Raipur today. Shri Sai graciously accepted the invitation and conveyed his best wishes for the event’s success.
The Chief Minister highlighted the significance of the Chakradhar Samaroh, calling it an integral part of Raigarh’s cultural heritage. He noted that performances by nationally and internationally acclaimed artists elevate the festival’s prestige. Shri Sai, who has a personal connection to the event from his time as a Member of Parliament representing Raigarh, reflected on the district’s growth and the enduring cultural legacy left by Maharaja Chakradhar. He also emphasized the importance of giving local folk artists a prominent role in the festival.
Collector Shri Kartikeya Goyal briefed the Chief Minister on the event’s key details, mentioning that this year’s ten-day festival will feature performances by both prominent artists and local folk talents.
The 39th Chakradhar Samaroh is scheduled to take place from September 7 to 16, 2024, at the Ramleela Ground in Raigarh. The festival’s opening ceremony will feature a dance-drama titled ‘Radha Rasbihari’ by Padma Shri Hema Malini, while the closing ceremony will include a poetry recitation by Dr. Kumar Vishwas. Cultural evenings showcasing various art forms by distinguished artists will be held daily from 6 PM onwards.
