TFP Bureau, Raipur, September 4, 2024: Shri Sonamni Bora, Principal Secretary of the Tribal, Scheduled Caste, Other Backward Classes, and Minority Development Department, conducted a thorough inspection of the under-construction Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh Tribal Freedom Fighter Museum in Nava Raipur. During the inspection, he reviewed the progress and urged the construction team to expedite the work while maintaining high standards of quality, with a targeted completion in time for the museum’s proposed inauguration by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in November.

Accompanied by Secretary cum Commissioner Shri Narendra Kumar Dugga and other officials, Shri Bora emphasized the importance of completing the project on schedule. The museum, which is being built near Purkhauti Muktangan on approximately 10 acres of land with an investment of Rs 45 crore, will honor the sacrifices of Chhattisgarh’s tribal freedom fighters and showcase the region’s rich tribal heritage.

Shri Bora interacted with the sculptors and curators on-site, receiving updates that 60 percent of the statues intended for the museum had been completed, with the remaining work progressing on schedule. The museum will feature 15 galleries, each dedicated to various aspects of tribal life, the history of British atrocities, and significant tribal rebellions in Chhattisgarh.

This museum, once completed, is expected to become a significant cultural attraction, educating the public about the state’s tribal traditions and the valor of its freedom fighters.
