TFP Bureau, Raipur, September 4, 2024: On the eve of Teachers’ Day, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai extended his heartfelt greetings to all educators, acknowledging their vital role in shaping society. In his message, the Chief Minister emphasized the significance of Teachers’ Day, celebrated on September 5th to honor the birth anniversary of former President and esteemed philosopher, Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan. He praised teachers for their ability to inspire positive change through education and for their pivotal role in nurturing responsible citizens.
Chief Minister Sai expressed hope that teachers across the state would continue to follow in Dr. Radhakrishnan’s footsteps, guiding the next generation with high moral values and a commitment to excellence.
In conjunction with Teachers’ Day celebrations, a state-level Teacher Honor Ceremony will be held on September 5, 2024, at the Durbar Hall of Raj Bhavan. The event will be graced by Governor Shri Ramen Deka, with Chief Minister Sai presiding over the ceremony.
During the event, 55 teachers from various districts will be honored for their outstanding contributions to education. This includes the prestigious State Teacher Samman Smriti Award, named after three of Chhattisgarh’s great literary figures.
State Teacher Honor Smriti Award 2024
Three educators will receive the State Teacher Honor Smriti Award this year:
Dr. Rashmi Singh Dhurve from Bilaspur district will be awarded the Dr. Padumlal Punnalal Bakshi Smriti Award.
– Ri Rajarshi Pandey from Kabirdham district will be honored with the Dr. Mukutadhar Pandey Smriti Award.
– Dr. Sarita Sahu from Durg district will receive the Dr. Baldev Prasad Mishra Smriti Award.”
Governor’s Teacher Award 2023-24
Additionally, 52 educators from across the state have been selected for the Governor’s Teacher Award for the 2023-24 academic year. The recipients include teachers and lecturers who have demonstrated excellence in their respective fields, contributing significantly to the educational landscape of Chhattisgarh. Among the honorees are:
– Mrs. Neha Nath and LB Kumari Madhuri Uke from Dantewada district.
– Kumari Madhu Sonwani and Mrs. Neetu Singh Yadav from Sarguja district.
– Mrs. Jyoti Magar and Dr. Ashish Nayak from Dhamtari district.
This recognition underscores the state’s commitment to honoring those who dedicate their lives to education and to fostering the intellectual and moral growth of Chhattisgarh’s students.
