TFP Bureau, Raipur, September 7, 2024: On the occasion of International Literacy Day, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai will officially launch the “Gaiety Literacy Campaign” during a state-level joy fair on 8 September. The grand event will take place at the Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Auditorium in Raipur. Chief Minister Sai will serve as the chief guest, with the event being chaired by Minister in charge, Shri Kedar Kashyap. Special guests include MP Shri Brijmohan Agrawal and several MLAs, including Shri Punar Mishra, Anuj Sharma, and Rajesh Munat, alongside local leaders such as Mayor Shri Ejaz Dhebar.
This celebration marks the culmination of a week-long series of events held nationwide in observance of Literacy Week, from 1 to 8 September 2024, under the National Education Policy 2020. The initiative aims to raise awareness about the new India literacy program and promote educational advancement across all sections of society.
Throughout the week, various literacy-focused activities were organized across districts, blocks, urban areas, and educational institutions. These events included seminars, cultural programs, exhibitions on women’s literacy, and competitions focused on education. The final event, on 8 September, will spotlight basic literacy, life skills, vocational training, and sustainable education.
A highlight of Literacy Week, the grand finale will feature a literacy rally on 7 September and the much-anticipated state-level joy fair on 8 September.
