TFP Bureau, Raipur; September 8, 2024: In a major initiative led by the Labor Department and directed by Commerce, Industry, and Labor Minister Shri Lakhan Lal Devangan, 2,000 mobile camps were organized across the state to enhance worker engagement with government schemes and services.
These mobile camps aimed to provide information about various programs and facilitate the registration of beneficiaries. As a result, 27,220 new registrations were completed on-site, and 8,738 applications were resolved promptly. The department has set a deadline of 31 December for the renewal of existing registrations.
In July, Minister Devangan had reviewed the schemes and emphasized the need for widespread mobile camp organization to maximize worker benefits. Over the past month, the camps have been instrumental in disseminating information about key schemes such as Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana (PMSBY) and Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana (PMJJBY), along with state-specific programs like the Rajmata Vijayaraje Beti Vivaah Yojana and various support schemes for construction workers and other labor categories.
The mobile camps have also addressed the registration and renewal needs for schemes including the Chief Minister Skill Development and Family Empowerment Scheme, Chief Minister Sewing Machine Sahayata Yojana, and several others aimed at improving the welfare of workers.
Throughout this period, 105,544 beneficiaries were informed about these schemes, and 36,772 new registration applications were received. While 27,220 beneficiaries were successfully registered on the spot, the remainder will be processed once all required documents are completed. Minister Devangan has urged beneficiaries to complete their registration renewals by the end of the year.
