TFP Bureau, Raipur; September 11, 2024: On the occasion of National Forest Martyrs Day, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai paid tribute to the brave forest martyrs at Rajiv Smriti Van, Raipur. During the ceremony, he unveiled the ‘Forest Martyrs Memorial’ in honor of those who lost their lives protecting forests and wildlife. A solemn two-minute silence was observed by the Chief Minister and attendees to salute the ultimate sacrifice of these heroes.
In his speech, Chief Minister Sai reflected on the emotional significance of the day, emphasizing the courageous efforts of the forest martyrs. “Their sacrifice serves as a powerful reminder of our duty to conserve the environment and safeguard our natural resources,” he said.
To mark the occasion, the Chief Minister, along with the Forest Minister and Revenue Minister, planted saplings in memory of their fathers. This year’s event commemorated the 20th National Forest Martyrs Day, held at Rajiv Smriti Van.
The gathering was attended by several dignitaries, including Forest Minister Shri Kedar Kashyap, Revenue Minister Shri Tankram Verma, MLA Shri Purandar Mishra, Chief of Forest Forces Shri V. Srinivas Rao, All India Forest Officers Federation President Shri Satish Mishra, Chairman Shri Digvijay Singh, and numerous forest personnel from across the country.
