Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai Unveils Project Jagriti’s Initiative

Project ‘Jagriti’ Aims to Raise Awareness on the Dangers of Abusive Language Among Children and Parents

TFP Bureau, Raipur; September 19, 2024: Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai launched the awareness initiative Project Jagriti, created by Bhilai-based organisation ‘Swayamsiddha,’ at his residence during the ‘Jandarshan’ program on September 19. The project aims to combat the growing use of abusive language among children and parents in over 200 schools in the Durg district.

Chief Minister Sai commended the organisation’s founder, Dr. Sonali Chakraborty, and her team for their dedicated efforts. Dr. Chakraborty explained that Project Jagriti, which began on Teachers’ Day (September 5), seeks to educate both students and parents about the negative effects of foul language, particularly the influence of TV, mobile phones, OTT platforms, and web series on young minds.

The project promotes programs where schoolchildren pledge to avoid using abusive words, while parents are involved in separate sessions aimed at creating a supportive environment at home. Through these efforts, Project Jagriti hopes to foster respectful communication among children.
