TFP Bureau, Raipur; September 24, 2024: The Department of Health and Family Welfare is actively promoting the Ayushman Bharat Scheme in Bilaspur through a series of initiatives, including the ‘Ayushman Aapke Dwaar’ programme. The district administration has set an ambitious goal to achieve 100% registration for Ayushman cards during the ongoing Ayushman Fortnight, from September 20 to September 30.
A workshop was recently held in Bilaspur to provide detailed information and training on Ayushman card registration. Attendees, including school teachers, were guided on how to help students and others in their communities sign up for the health cards. The event, conducted at Sanjeevani Hospital’s auditorium, featured sessions led by Dr. Anil Srivastava, the Ayushman Scheme’s nodal officer, and the district-level Ayushman Bharat team. Additionally, a rally was organized to spread awareness of the scheme among the general public.
Chief Medical and Health Officer (CMHO) Dr. Prabhat Srivastava highlighted various activities being conducted as part of the Ayushman campaign, including Ayushman Chaupal gatherings, health check-up camps, and awareness rallies. As part of the ‘Ayushman Aapke Dwaar’ initiative, beneficiaries can easily register for their Ayushman cards via the Ayushman app and Aadhaar Face RD app, available on the Play Store. Essential documents for registration include a ration card and Aadhaar card. For residents in rural areas, Primary Health Centres (PHCs) and Community Health Centres (CHCs) are also facilitating card registrations.
To date, more than 84,000 people in Bilaspur district have benefitted from the Ayushman Bharat Scheme. Of these, 50,857 have received treatment in government hospitals, while 33,166 have accessed healthcare services at private facilities. The ongoing registration drive aims to ensure that more residents are able to avail themselves of the scheme’s benefits.
