TFP Bureau, Raipur; September 25, 2024: Revenue Minister Tank Ram Verma announced that the Chhattisgarh government is committed to enhancing employment opportunities for the state’s youth by modernizing its Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs). Under the leadership of Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai, 160 ITIs are set to be developed as model institutes, providing industry-aligned, employment-oriented training. These modernization efforts will take place over the next three years with an investment of Rs 484 crore.
Speaking at a gratitude conference held at the Government ITI in Balodabazar, Minister Verma revealed that Rs 20 crore has already been approved for the first phase of turning the Balodabazar institute into a model ITI. He encouraged students to focus on their education, work hard, and pursue their dreams, while also advising them to draw inspiration from successful individuals and avoid distractions like social media.
Ajay Garhwal, Principal of the Government ITI, expressed gratitude to the Minister for selecting the Sakri ITI as a model institution.
For the Sakri ITI in Balodabazar, specific allocations include Rs 1 crore for computer hardware and network maintenance, Rs 75 lakh for electrician training, Rs 46 lakh for fitter courses, Rs 44 lakh for mechanic diesel, and Rs 53 lakh for welding training. Additionally, Rs 3.44 crore has been earmarked for constructing new buildings, with further funds allocated for staff quarters, a boundary wall, and the main gate.
