TFP Bureau, Raipur; September 29, 2024: In a significant move to boost employment opportunities for the youth of Chhattisgarh, the state government has initiated the recruitment process for 3,737 new positions across various departments. This large-scale hiring, spearheaded by Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai, is part of the administration’s ongoing efforts to provide fresh avenues for education and employment to the state’s young population.
The Finance Department has approved recruitment in eight key departments, and preparations are underway to move forward with the hiring process. Chief Minister Sai has directed that the recruitment process be expedited to ensure seamless execution.
The departments set to conduct these recruitments include Health, Public Health Engineering, Agriculture, Rural Livelihood Mission, Home, Law, Tribal Welfare, and Forest and Environment. Each department is in the process of finalizing proposals and gaining necessary government approvals to move ahead.
As part of the government’s initiative, 181 new posts, including 118 for Deputy Engineer (Civil) and 10 for Deputy Engineer (Electrical/Mechanical), have been approved in the Public Health Engineering Department. Similarly, the Home Department has green-lit 1,069 positions, including Subedar, Deputy Police Inspector, Assistant Sub-Inspector, Platoon Commander, and Nagar Sainik.
The Health Department has been authorized to fill 1,201 positions, ranging from Medical Officers to Ayurveda Medical Officers and Staff Nurses. The Tribal Welfare Department will oversee recruitment for 300 Hostel Superintendent roles, while the Forest Department has been cleared to fill 66 posts, including Forest Guards.
Other notable recruitments include 237 positions in the Panchayat and Rural Development Department under the Livelihood Mission, 362 posts across various cadres in the Law Department, and 321 Rural Agriculture Extension Officers in the Agriculture Department.
Additionally, the state government has relaxed the maximum age limit by five years for several government job recruitments, including those in the Police Department, further broadening employment prospects for the youth.
This extensive recruitment drive reflects the Chhattisgarh government’s commitment to fostering job creation and economic growth while empowering the state’s young generation to shape their futures.
