TFP Bureau, Raipur, October 1, 2024: Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai today inaugurated and laid the foundation for 109 developmental projects in Surajpur district, amounting to a total investment of Rs 187.51 crore. The projects span various sectors, including public infrastructure, rural development, housing, and water resources, aimed at driving holistic growth in the region.
During the event, the Chief Minister inaugurated 27 completed projects, valued at Rs 57.16 crore, and performed the groundbreaking ceremony for 7 new projects under the Public Works Department, with an estimated cost of Rs 68.77 crore. Additionally, he laid the foundation for several rural development projects, including 3 under the Rural Engineering Service worth Rs 44.82 lakh and a Chhattisgarh Housing Board project valued at Rs 43 lakh.
Shri Sai also launched significant projects under the Tribal Development and Panchayat sectors, including 5 projects worth Rs 18.69 crore under the Assistant Commissioner of Tribal Development, Surajpur, and 18 projects under the Janpad Panchayat, Surajpur, valued at Rs 2.30 crore. Similar development initiatives were unveiled in Pratappur, Bhaiyathan, and Ramanujganj blocks, totaling over Rs 5.7 crore in investments.
Key water resource projects were also highlighted, with the foundation laying for 5 major projects worth Rs 12.75 crore and the inauguration of 3 water infrastructure projects costing Rs 10.18 crore. Public health and road infrastructure received a boost with new projects under the Public Health Engineering Department, Chhattisgarh Medical Services Limited, and road projects under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY) and Mukhyamantri Gram Sadak Yojana (MGSY).
Shri Sai emphasized that these projects are a testament to the government’s commitment to ensuring the rapid development of Surajpur’s rural areas, enhancing infrastructure, and improving the quality of life for all citizens.
