TFP Bureau, Raipur, October 16, 2024: In a major announcement ahead of Diwali, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai declared a 4% increase in Dearness Allowance (DA) for state government employees, raising it from 46% to 50%. The hike, effective from October 1, 2024, will benefit thousands of state employees and has been warmly welcomed as a festive gesture.
The announcement was made prior to the Cabinet meeting, where a delegation from the Chhattisgarh Karmachari-Adhikari Sanyukt Morcha met with the Chief Minister at Mantralaya Mahanadi Bhawan to express their gratitude. The employees thanked the Chief Minister for this timely decision, which they described as a “Diwali gift” for the workforce.
The meeting was attended by several prominent officials and ministers, including Finance Minister Shri O.P. Choudhary, Forest Minister Shri Kedar Kashyap, and Sports Minister Shri Tankram Verma. Key members of the Karmachari-Adhikari Sanyukt Morcha delegation included Shri Anil Shukla, Shri Mahendra Singh Rajput, and Shri Sanjay Singh, among others.
This DA increase is expected to provide financial relief to state employees, helping them manage rising inflation and living costs.
