TFP Bureau, Raipur, October 19, 2024: Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai inaugurated the Regional Entrepreneur Conference 2024 at Agrasen Bhawan, Khursipar, emphasizing the pivotal role of Laghu Udyog Bharati in promoting micro and small industries across the country.
Addressing the gathering, CM Sai praised Laghu Udyog Bharati as a major force behind the growth of small-scale industries, highlighting that the organization represents over 1,000 units and 65,000 members nationwide. He noted that its presence in tribal regions such as Surguja and Bastar has bolstered local industries, aiding in the development of entrepreneurship. “Our state is rich in minerals, with 44% forest coverage, and our hardworking farmers have earned Chhattisgarh the title ‘Rice Bowl of India.’ There is vast potential for industry here,” he said.
The Chief Minister also revealed that the state’s new Industry Policy 2024-29 is set to be launched by November, with special provisions to encourage small and medium industries. He assured that land would be provided to Laghu Udyog Bharati in Naya Raipur, with plans to establish the organization under the Ministry of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSME) in Chhattisgarh, similar to a model followed in Madhya Pradesh.
During the event, CM Sai and Industry Minister Shri Lakhanlal Dewangan released “Chhattisgarh Udyog Darpan 2024,” a publication by Laghu Udyog Bharati. Shri Dewangan underscored the government’s efforts to simplify industry procedures through the implementation of the Single Window System 2.0, allowing entrepreneurs to obtain necessary permits online. He also mentioned international agreements made to boost exports of locally produced goods.
The conference saw participation from prominent figures, including Durg City MLA Shri Gajendra Yadav, Durg Rural MLA Shri Lalit Chandrakar, Collector Ms. Richa Prakash Choudhary, and a large number of entrepreneurs from both Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh.
