Chief Minister Arrives at Mayali Nature Camp via Boat for Tribal Development Meeting

Traditional Welcome and Plans for Revamping Nature Camp Highlight Visit

TFP Bureau, Raipur, October 22,  2024: Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai arrived at Mayali Nature Camp, a scenic tourist spot in Jashpur district, via boat to chair a meeting of the Surguja Area Tribal Development Authority. Upon reaching Kharsa View Point, the Chief Minister and his guests received a warm traditional welcome featuring bamboo hats, garlands made from Dumbar fruit and mango leaves, and the rhythmic sounds of the Karma dance accompanied by traditional instruments like the Dhaak and Nagada.

In attendance were several dignitaries, including Health Minister Shri Shyam Bihari Jaiswal, Revenue Minister Shri Tank Ram Verma, Surguja Area Tribal Development Authority Vice President Smt. Gomati Sai, Raigarh MP Shri Radheshyam Rathiya, Jashpur MLA Smt. Raimuni Bhagat, and various officials such as Chief Minister’s Secretary Shri P. Dayanand and Collector Dr. Ravi Mittal.

The Chief Minister’s arrival by boat allowed guests to soak in the breathtaking views of the dam on one side and the Shivalinga Madheshwar mountain on the other, with the lush greenery of the area enhancing the natural beauty of the location.

In addition to the meeting, it was announced that Mayali Nature Camp will undergo significant enhancements with an allocation of Rs 10 crore. The development plan is part of the Swadesh Darshan Yojana, which aims to boost tourism in the region.

Nestled in the picturesque hills of Jashpur, Mayali Nature Camp is located near the Charaidand Garden State Highway in the Kunkuri block. This green oasis attracts numerous visitors and families, especially on weekends, and offers various recreational activities, including boating facilities. The camp’s unique natural beauty positions it as a popular destination for nature enthusiasts and tourists alike.
