Bhoomi Pujan and Foundation Stone Laid for Bemetara Family Court Building

Chief Justice Ramesh Sinha Stresses Timely Completion and Quality Construction Across State Courts

TFP Bureau, Raipur, October 22, 2024 – Chief Justice Shri Ramesh Sinha virtually performed the Bhoomi Pujan and laid the foundation stone for the new Family Court building in Bemetara. Speaking at the event, Chief Justice Sinha emphasized the judiciary’s priority of ensuring quality and well-equipped court and residential buildings in every district of Chhattisgarh. The foundation of the Bemetara Family Court marks another step towards achieving this goal.

He urged the Public Works Department to ensure the timely and high-quality completion of the court building, which is designed to offer state-of-the-art facilities. “The new building will enhance the working capacity of the Family Court officers and staff, while also ensuring that those attending court have access to all necessary amenities,” Chief Justice Sinha stated. He also highlighted the importance of maintaining cleanliness and upkeep within the court premises.

The upcoming Family Court building in Bemetara will span 18,000 square feet and will feature a wide range of facilities, including courtrooms, meeting halls, a library, counseling rooms, and video conferencing rooms. The structure will also accommodate rooms for judges, staff, advocates, and waiting areas for the public. The project, set to be completed within 15 months, has received administrative approval with a budget of Rs 2.73 crore.

Judge Shri Narendra Kumar Vyas, Portfolio Judge of Bemetara and member of the Chhattisgarh High Court, also addressed the event through a virtual platform, expressing his support for the initiative and underscoring the importance of providing modern judicial infrastructure across the state.
