TFP Bureau, Raipur, October 22, 2024: Indira Gandhi Agricultural University, Raipur, is set to host the four-day Agri Carnival 2024, which includes the prestigious “National Farmers’ Fair and Agricultural Exhibition.” The event will run from October 22 to 25, with a special focus on agricultural innovation and entrepreneurship. The carnival kicks off with a Youth Conclave on October 22 and will conclude on October 25.
Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai will formally inaugurate the National Farmers’ Fair and Agricultural Exhibition on October 23 at 3 PM. The opening ceremony will be presided over by Agriculture Minister Shri Ramvichar Netam. The fair will offer visitors, including farmers, students, and the public, an opportunity to explore the university’s research fields and view a wide range of agricultural exhibits.
The event begins with a job fair on October 22, where over 2,000 students will have the chance to connect with more than 20 private companies in the seed, agricultural chemicals, and fertilizer sectors, offering job opportunities and career guidance. In addition, an “Industry-Academic Meet” and “International Education Fair” will provide students with insights into studying abroad, while the Youth Conclave will feature a “Self-Employment and Startup” program. This program will bring together agricultural students, entrepreneurs, incubators from Chhattisgarh, and industry representatives to explore innovative ideas in agriculture.
The Agri Carnival aims to foster entrepreneurship and innovation among young agricultural enthusiasts. It will serve as a platform for exchanging knowledge, with experts offering guidance on training, funding, and launching startups to drive the agricultural sector forward.
