Chief Minister Inaugurates Shri Satya Sai Nursing College in Naya Raipur

Gifts Presented to Children Treated Under Navjeevan Uphaar Scheme

TFP Bureau, Raipur, October 24, 2024: Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai inaugurated the Shri Satya Sai Nursing College at the Satya Sai Sanjeevani Hospital campus in Atalnagar, Nava Raipur, on Thursday. The ceremony was attended by Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman Singh and Health Minister Shri Shyam Bihari Jaiswal, along with other dignitaries.

During the event, newly admitted B.Sc. Nursing students took their oaths in a lamp-lighting ceremony, pledging to serve humanity. In his speech, Chief Minister Sai praised the Shri Satya Sai Trust for its humanitarian work, highlighting that the hospital has performed over 33,000 free complex cardiac surgeries for children and provided health checkups to more than 300,000 children.

The Chief Minister honored specialist doctors with the Dhanvantri Award for their contributions and noted that the hospital operates without a cash counter, offering free treatment to all. He also emphasized the nursing college’s provision of free education, accommodation, and meals for students.

At the event, five children who had recovered under the Navjeevan Uphaar program were given gifts by Chief Minister Sai. In a poignant moment, the family of a child from Korba district, who donated his heart valve after his passing, was honored for their generosity.

This initiative was described as a remarkable example of humanitarian service. The event saw the participation of nursing students, their families, hospital staff, and members of the management committee.
