TFP Bureau, Raipur, October 24, 2024: Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai reviewed the ongoing preparations for Rajyotsav 2024 at his residence office on Thursday. The event will be held from November 4th to 6th at Rajyotsav Sthal in Naya Raipur, marking 24 years of Chhattisgarh’s statehood.
Chief Minister Sai called on the public to celebrate Rajyotsav with “Deepotsav,” encouraging people to light lamps in their homes on November 1st. As part of the festivities, 10,000 lamps will be lit in Nava Raipur, Atalnagar. To facilitate public attendance, bus services will be available at concessional rates.
The Rajyotsav will feature cultural programs each evening, with performances by renowned Bollywood singers. On November 4th, Shaan (Shantanu Mukherjee) will perform, followed by Neeti Mohan on November 5th. The event will close on November 6th with performances by Indian Idol winners Pawandeep and Arunita.
State Decoration Ceremony on November 6th
On the final day of the event, the State Decoration Ceremony will honor individuals and institutions for their exceptional contributions in various fields.
Exhibitions and Attractions
An exhibition showcasing government schemes and projects will be set up, along with stalls for private and public sector institutions. The Agriculture and Water Resources Department will also host an exhibition. Additionally, a Shilpgram, food court, and fun park, featuring swings and rides for children, will be key attractions.
The review meeting was attended by Chief Secretary Shri Amitabh Jain, Culture Department Secretary Shri Anbalgan P, and other senior officials.
