TFP Bureau, Raipur, November 5, 2024: In a grand celebration of Chhattisgarh’s Rajyotsav, 36 distinguished individuals will be recognized for their contributions to various fields at the State Decoration Ceremony in Nava Raipur on November 6. Deputy Chief Minister Arun Sao announced the list of honorees during a press conference, highlighting the significant achievements that have contributed to the development and cultural richness of the state.
Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar will present the awards, with Governor Ramen Deka presiding over the ceremony. Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai and Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman Singh will also attend as special guests. The awards recognize individuals for their exceptional achievements in fields including social work, literature, sports, agriculture, law, journalism, and more.
Among the honorees, Shri Butlu Ram Mathra will receive the Martyr Veernarayan Singh Award for contributions to the welfare of the tribal and backward communities, while Shri Manohar Gaushala Khairagarh will be honored with the Yeti Yatanlal Award for his work in non-violence and cow protection. For achievements in sports, Ms. Chhoti Mehra and Shri Vikas Kumar will receive the Gundadhur and Maharaja Pravirchand Bhanjdev Awards, respectively.
In the field of women empowerment, Smt. Parvati Dhidhi will be honored with the Minimata Award, while Smt. Aditi Kashyap will receive the Veerangana Rani Avantibai Lodhi Smriti Award for her efforts in promoting courage and self-confidence among women.
Other notable awards include the Guru Ghasidas Award for social awareness, which will go to Shri Rajendra Rangeela, and the Thakur Pyarelal Award in cooperation, presented to Shri Shashikant Dwivedi. The Culture Department will recognize contributions to Hindi literature and arts with the Pandit Sundarlal Sharma and Chakradhar Awards, given to Dr. Satyabhama Adil and Pt. Sudhakar Rambhau Shevlikar, respectively.
Several awards will highlight contributions in agriculture, healthcare, law, and social harmony. The Dr. Khubchand Baghel Award in agriculture will go jointly to Mr. Shivkumar Chandravanshi and Mr. Khemraj Patel, while Dr. Manohar Lal Laheja will receive the Dhanwantri Award for advances in Ayurvedic medicine. For achievements in law, Shri Surendra Tiwari and Shri Prakash Chandra Pant will be jointly awarded the Barrister Thakur Chhedilal Award.
Recognition will also extend to achievements in journalism and creative arts. The Chandulal Chandrakar Memorial Journalism Award in print media will be given to Mr. Bholaram Sinha, while Mr. Mukesh S. Singh will receive the Madhukar Kher Memorial Journalism Award for English media.
The ceremony will conclude with the honoring of individuals who have contributed to Chhattisgarh’s development on national and international levels, as well as the presentation of mementos to the esteemed guests.
