TFP Bureau, Raipur, November 6, 2024: Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar marked the conclusion of Chhattisgarh’s Rajyotsav 2024, commending the state’s progress under Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai. Speaking at the closing ceremony, he emphasized Chhattisgarh’s role in India’s growth and honored awardees of the Rajya Alankaran 2024. “Chhattisgarh is setting new standards of development,” he said, acknowledging the contributions of the state’s people and leaders to India’s broader goals.
Vice President Dhankhar highlighted the legacy of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, whose vision led to Chhattisgarh’s formation in 2000, promoting unity and inclusivity. “Vajpayee’s leadership in creating three new states, including Chhattisgarh, was a testament to India’s unity,” he said. Dhankhar praised Chief Minister Sai’s collaborative approach, including inviting leaders from neighboring states, which he said exemplified strong regional cooperation.
The Vice President celebrated Chhattisgarh’s rich cultural and natural heritage, calling for the preservation of India’s ancient, inclusive traditions. He also paid tribute to tribal freedom fighters like Veer Narayan Singh, underscoring their legacy as India approaches Constitution Day. “Our Constitution anchors our future,” he noted, urging young citizens to uphold its values and be aware of historical challenges to democracy.
Governor Ramen Deka also praised the state’s achievements, especially in sustainable development, education, and healthcare. “Chhattisgarh’s holistic growth since its founding reflects the dedication of its people and leaders,” he said. Deka expressed confidence in the state’s continued progress under Chief Minister Sai, particularly in sectors like agriculture and industrial development.
Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, addressing the assembly, pledged to realize Chhattisgarh’s dream of becoming a developed state through unity. “Rajyotsav celebrates the unity of Chhattisgarh’s 3 crore people,” he said, adding that as Chhattisgarh nears its Silver Jubilee, the government is committed to a prosperous future. Sai highlighted initiatives like the Mahtari Vandan Yojana, aimed at empowering women, and the upcoming Bastar Olympics, designed to spotlight youth sports talent from tribal regions.
In a special announcement, Sai revealed a new support program for folk artists, expanding program approvals for both ‘A’ and ‘B’ category artists. He also introduced a new ‘A1’ grade for state award-winning artists to honor and promote Chhattisgarh’s cultural heritage both nationally and internationally.
Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman Singh acknowledged Chhattisgarh’s transformation, citing developments in food security, skill building, and medical education. With the establishment of institutions like IITs, IIMs, and multiple medical colleges, he said, “Chhattisgarh has emerged as a model of progress.”
Distinguished officials, including Chief Secretary Amitabh Jain and DGP Ashok Juneja, along with a large gathering of citizens, were present to witness the culmination of Rajyotsav 2024.
