Chhattisgarh Moves Forward on Path of Public Welfare Inspired by Lord Sahastrabahu: Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai

Chief Minister announces upgrade of Katghora Community Health Center to a 100-bed hospital, along with additional development initiatives honoring cultural heritage.

TFP Bureau, Raipur, November 8, 2024: Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai attended the Lord Sahastrabahu Jayanti celebrations in Korba district’s Katghora block on Friday, emphasizing his government’s commitment to public welfare in the spirit of Lord Sahastrabahu. Organized by the Kalar Samaj, the event highlighted Chhattisgarh’s continued development efforts under Sai’s leadership.

Addressing attendees, Chief Minister Sai stated, “Lord Sahastrabahu paved the way for public welfare by establishing a society rooted in service. Our government is following in these footsteps, prioritizing the happiness, welfare, and prosperity of Chhattisgarh’s people.”

During the event, Chief Minister Sai announced the expansion of Katghora’s Community Health Center into a 100-bed hospital to improve local healthcare facilities. Additionally, he declared the development of Katghora Rest House and named a prominent square near Chakchakwa Hill on the Katghora-Ambikapur National Highway in honor of Lord Sahastrabahu.

Speaking to the Kalar community, known for its educational achievements and professional progress, Chief Minister Sai praised its members for their contributions to Chhattisgarh’s growth. “The youth of the Kalar community, alongside other communities, will play a pivotal role in Chhattisgarh’s journey toward the Vision Developed India 2047, as envisioned by Prime Minister Narendra Modi,” he remarked.

The Chief Minister also outlined several welfare initiatives, noting that the government swiftly implemented Modi’s guarantee upon taking office. He highlighted key measures such as purchasing paddy at Rs 3,100 per quintal, releasing pending bonuses, raising the Tendu leaf wage from Rs 4,000 to Rs 5,500 per sack, and providing a monthly stipend of Rs 1,000 to around 7 million women under the Mahtari Vandan Yojana. Sai added that, with the recent rains, the government has set November 14 as the start date for this season’s paddy procurement, ensuring improved facilities to support farmers.

Expressing pride in the community’s efforts, Chief Minister Sai also applauded the leaders for organizing a Yuvak Yuvati Parichay Sammelan to promote cultural unity. Public Health and Family Welfare Minister Shri Shyam Bihari Jaiswal praised the historical contributions of the Kalchuri kings, emphasizing that under Sai’s leadership, Chhattisgarh continues to advance as per the vision of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, who founded the state.

The program saw a large turnout, including Industry and Labor Minister Shri Lakhanlal Dewangan, Katghora Nagar Palika President Shri Ratan Mittal, Society President Shri Ramgopal Dixena, and other prominent leaders and community members.
