TFP Bureau, Raipur, November 9, 2023: Guided by Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai, Chhattisgarh is making strides toward an improved education system and holistic development of its students. Under the PM Shri Yojana, launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the state has revitalized 341 schools, creating enhanced learning environments for students. Among these, 11 schools in the Rajnandgaon district have undergone significant transformation, with the Dundera Government Primary School standing out as a shining example.
The changes at Dundera Primary School reflect the goals of the PM Shri Yojana: to shape the future of schoolchildren in a nurturing, fully equipped setting. From vibrant wall murals and green landscaping to the installation of clean drinking water systems, the school has been modernized with an investment of approximately 4.15 lakh rupees. The initiative has introduced green school concepts, with tiled floors, colorful paintings, and plants around the campus contributing to a positive, inspiring atmosphere.
The students’ happiness speaks volumes about the school’s atmosphere. In addition to a smart classroom and playground, Dundera Primary School offers a “PM Shri Muskaan” library, where motivational quotes from former president Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam inspire young minds. Music, sports, and personal development activities are also a staple, providing students with well-rounded learning opportunities.
PM Shri schools serve nutritious midday meals, conduct regular health checks, and offer essential resources such as musical instruments and sports equipment. A significant aspect of the scheme includes teaching in the local language up to the fifth grade, aligning with the National Education Policy 2020, which the state has adopted.
Beyond traditional subjects, the curriculum now incorporates modern topics like robotics and artificial intelligence, especially benefiting schools in tribal-dominated regions. The PM Shri Yojana is ushering in a new era for Chhattisgarh’s educational landscape, ensuring that students from all backgrounds receive quality education that blends local knowledge with modern skills.
