TFP Bureau, Raipur, November 11, 2024: School Education Secretary Siddharth Komal Singh Pardeshi made an unannounced visit to several schools in the forest regions of Mahasamund district, bordering Odisha, to assess educational progress, facilities, and activities. During the inspection, he engaged with students directly, stepping into the role of a teacher to explain the science behind artificial satellites and encourage learning through interactive questions.
Schools visited included Higher Secondary School Belsonda, Primary School Omkarband, PM Shri School Khopali, Middle and High School Khopali, Middle and High School Kasekera, Middle School Kulia, and Kasturba Gandhi Residential School Sunasunia. Impressed by the students’ enthusiasm and accurate answers on topics ranging from Indian scientists and rainbow colors to the geography of Chhattisgarh and its neighboring states, Pardeshi praised their knowledge.
At Kasturba Gandhi Residential School Sunasunia, students shared their memories of meeting President Smt. Draupadi Murmu on Rakshabandhan, which they described as unforgettable. Pardeshi highlighted this as an example of growing women’s empowerment, reminding the students that women today are excelling in all fields, from fine crafts to aviation.
During his inspection, Pardeshi noticed locked toilets and emphasized that all school facilities, especially toilets, must remain open and accessible to students during school hours. He directed school heads to ensure campus cleanliness, full use of libraries and labs, and strict adherence to government guidelines.
Joining him on the inspection were Joint Director of Raipur Division Mr. Rakesh Pandey, District Education Officer Mr. Mohan Rao Sawant, District Mission Coordinator Mr. Kamal Narayan Chandrakar, and other officials.
