State Government Announces Major IAS Transfers and Assignments

Dr. Priyanka Shukla assumes key health portfolio; several officials assigned new roles under temporary postings.

TFP Bureau, Raipur, November 15, 2024: In a significant reshuffle, the State Government has issued new postings and additional charges to several Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers across departments, aiming to streamline administrative functions and enhance governance.

Dr. Priyanka Shukla, IAS (2009), currently serving as Director, Veterinary Services, and holding additional charge as Director, Technical Education, Employment, and Training, has been temporarily assigned the role of Commissioner-cum-Director, Health Services. She will also take over as Special Secretary, Health and Family Welfare Department until further notice. Following her appointment, Shri Chandan Kumar, IAS (2011), currently Special Secretary, Finance Department, and holding additional responsibilities in General Administration and Health, will be relieved of his Health Department duties.

Other notable appointments include:

Shri Sanjeev Kumar Jha, IAS (2011): The Director of Samagra Shiksha and Director of Aviation has been given additional charge as Managing Director, Text Book Corporation.
Shri Remigius Ekka, IAS (2011): Currently serving as Collector, Balrampur-Ramanujganj, Shri Ekka has been posted as Director, Veterinary Services, with an additional charge as Special Secretary, Urban Administration and Development Department. His role has been classified under the Senior Category Pay Scale for IAS officers.
Ms. Divya Umesh Mishra, IAS (2012): Director of Public Education, Ms. Mishra has been entrusted with additional responsibilities as Director, State Council of Educational and Research, and Mission Director, State Literacy Mission.
Shri Jagdish Sonkar, IAS (2013): Joint Secretary in the Ministry, Shri Sonkar has been appointed as Mission Director, Rashtriya Uchchatar Shiksha Abhiyan (RUSA), with his role recognized under the Junior Administrative Pay Scale.
Shri Rajendra Kumar Katara, IAS (2013): Previously handling multiple responsibilities, including the management of the State Council of Educational and Research, State Literacy Mission, and Text Book Corporation, Shri Katara has been posted as Collector of Balrampur-Ramanujganj.
Shri Rituraj Raghuvanshi, IAS (2014): The outgoing Commissioner-cum-Director, Health Services, has been temporarily reassigned as Director, Technical Education, Employment, and Training. His new position is categorized under the Junior Administrative Pay Scale.

These adjustments, sanctioned under Rule-12 of the Indian Administrative Service (Pay) Rules, 2016, reflect the government’s commitment to optimizing administrative efficiency and ensuring experienced leadership in critical sectors.
