TFP Bureau, Raipur, November 16, 2024: In a significant achievement for Chhattisgarh, 14 government health institutions have received the prestigious National Quality Assurance Standard (NQAS) certificates for excellence in healthcare services. This recognition, granted by the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, highlights the state’s commitment to improving healthcare facilities and providing high-quality treatment to patients.

The institutions include 10 Ayushman Arogya Mandir Sub-Health Centers, three Primary Health Centers, and one Urban Primary Health Center. The NQAS certificates were awarded following a comprehensive evaluation by a team from the Union Health Ministry in October and November, assessing the quality of services provided across various parameters.

Health Minister Shri Shyam Bihari Jaiswal congratulated the centers, noting that the success reflects the ongoing improvements in healthcare infrastructure under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai. He emphasized that the state has made significant strides in enhancing the quality of healthcare services, resulting in 14 hospitals being honored with the prestigious certification.

The evaluations covered health centers in several districts, with remarkable scores across the board. In Mahasamund, the Ayushman Arogya Mandir Sub-Health Centers, including Bhadrasi, scored 91.29%, and Nayapara Urban Primary Health Center achieved 88.89%. Other districts such as Surajpur, Kanker, Balodabazar, Raigarh, Bastar, and Raipur also showcased impressive results, with centers scoring as high as 94.2%.

The rigorous evaluation process included assessments of services offered, patient satisfaction, clinical practices, infection control, quality management, and more. Only those institutions meeting the Union Health Ministry’s stringent standards were awarded the NQAS certificate, which recognizes institutions that provide safe, effective, and patient-centered healthcare.

This accomplishment marks a significant milestone for Chhattisgarh’s healthcare system and demonstrates the state’s ongoing efforts to improve the well-being of its citizens.
