TFP Bureau, Jagdalpur, December 15: 2024: Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation Amit Shah today met individuals from Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra, Odisha, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and Assam who have surrendered arms and joined the mainstream, at an event in Jagdalpur. Shri Shah praised their decision to leave violence behind and emphasized the government’s commitment to their rehabilitation.
Addressing the gathering, Shri Shah highlighted the transformation in Naxal-affected areas under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He announced that the Prime Minister has approved the construction of over 15,000 houses in Naxal-affected regions and unveiled plans to promote dairy cooperatives by providing a cow or buffalo to every family in these areas.
Shri Shah emphasized that violence is not the solution and urged youth involved in Naxalism to lay down their arms and reintegrate into society. He lauded Chhattisgarh’s surrender policy as a model for the nation, stating that the government aims to replicate it across the country to rehabilitate and support those who renounce violence.
The Home Minister envisioned a bright future for Bastar’s youth, urging efforts to prepare them for global success. “When a girl from Bastar wins a medal at the 2036 Olympics, it will send a strong message to the world that development, not violence, is the way forward,” he said.
Shri Shah assured that under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership, Bastar remains a priority for all welfare initiatives, including education, healthcare, clean water, and electricity. He expressed confidence that the success of those who surrendered would inspire others to abandon violence and join the path of peace and development.
This effort, Shri Shah added, reaffirms the government’s commitment to ending Naxalism and fostering progress in the region.
