TFP Bureau, Raipur, December 24, 2024: “Children are the future of Chhattisgarh, and they must balance modern education with ancient cultural knowledge and values,” said Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai while addressing the annual festival Anubhav 2024 at Delhi Public School in Sankara village, Dhamtari district.
The Chief Minister emphasized the importance of education, values, and cultural heritage while interacting with the students. “Whenever I meet enthusiastic school children, I feel a renewed sense of energy. Your education and values shape your future. Teachers and parents are like potters molding raw clay, and their guidance is crucial in shaping children into responsible individuals,” he said.
Reflecting on the National Education Policy introduced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, CM Sai highlighted its focus on integrating modern knowledge with ancient wisdom. “The policy not only emphasizes subjects like Artificial Intelligence and Robotics but also ensures that children learn about India’s rich history, culture, and epics like the Ramayana and Mahabharata. Primary education in the mother tongue has also been prioritized to foster a deeper connection with one’s roots,” he added.
The Chief Minister underlined education as the foundation of development. He spoke about initiatives like the invitation feasts in government schools, where citizens celebrate occasions like birthdays with schoolchildren, fostering a community connection. “Education is essential for achieving success in any field, and our government is committed to providing quality education to children through innovative programs like Prayas Schools and residential facilities.”
He announced that 341 schools in the state have been selected as PM Shri Schools, which will be equipped with advanced infrastructure and smart classrooms. Additionally, he highlighted the establishment of premier national educational institutions in Chhattisgarh, ensuring students can access quality education without leaving the state.
Commending DPS for emphasizing both academics and extracurricular activities, CM Sai said, “Sports and cultural programs are as important as studies for the holistic development of children. I am pleased to see that DPS prioritizes these aspects and provides a platform for students to grow both intellectually and emotionally.”
The Chief Minister applauded the cultural performances by students at the event and encouraged them to excel in all areas of life. He concluded by reaffirming his government’s vision of making Chhattisgarh a developed state by 2047, in line with Prime Minister Modi’s goal of a developed India.
Teachers, parents, and a large gathering of DPS staff were present at the event, which celebrated the students’ achievements and creativity. CM Sai wished the students a bright and successful future, urging them to embrace their culture while excelling in modern education.
