State Government Revises Monthly Allowances for Employees

Travel allowances increased for various categories on Chief Minister’s instructions

TFP Bureau, Raipur, December 27, 2024: In a move aimed at benefiting state employees, the Chhattisgarh government has revised monthly allowances following instructions from Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai. The amendment, introduced by the Finance Department, is expected to enhance work efficiency and morale among employees across various departments.

Under the revised scheme, the travel allowance for Revenue Inspectors, Sales Amin, Assistant Rural Agriculture Extension Officers (Gram Sevak), Assistant Development Extension Officers, Veterinary Field Assistants, and Hand Pump Technicians in the Public Health Engineering Department has been increased from ₹350 to ₹1,200 per month.

Similarly, peons and jamadars in the Revenue Department at district and tehsil levels, chain men in the Forest and Revenue Departments, process servers in the Judicial and Commercial Tax Departments, and rural-based Patwaris will see their travel allowance rise from ₹300 to ₹1,000 per month.

The government clarified that other terms and conditions related to travel allowances would remain unchanged. This decision reflects the administration’s commitment to improving the working conditions and financial well-being of its employees, particularly those serving in rural and field-based roles.
