TFP Bureau, Raipur, December 30, 2024: The Council of Ministers, under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai, convened today at Mantralaya Mahanadi Bhawan and made several significant decisions affecting the state.
Notably, the Cabinet decided to table the action taken report on the recommendations of the Fourth State Finance Commission in the upcoming Assembly session. This move is aimed at addressing financial strategies for the state’s development.
In another key decision, the Chief Minister declared the film “The Sabarmati Report” tax-free in Chhattisgarh. As part of this, the Cabinet approved reimbursement of the State Goods and Services Tax (SGST) for screenings of the film, ensuring greater accessibility for the public to this important cultural work.
The Cabinet also approved the recommended rates by the “State Level Committee” for paddy and rice transportation under the decentralized procurement scheme for the Kharif marketing years 2022-23, 2023-24, and 2024-25. This decision aims to support the smooth procurement of rice and paddy, benefiting the farming community.
Additionally, the meeting approved the disbursement of the second installment of the pending incentive amount to rice mills for the Kharif marketing year 2022-23. This move is expected to provide relief to the mills and strengthen the state’s rice industry.
These decisions reflect the government’s continued focus on agricultural support, cultural initiatives, and fiscal responsibility.
