TFP Bureau, Raipur, December 30, 2024: Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai and his Cabinet Ministers received a heartwarming gift today from students of the Government Higher Primary School in Madanar, Narayanpur Assembly Constituency. The children presented handcrafted wooden nameplates, portraits, and an engraved Preamble of the Constitution, a testament to their creativity and skills nurtured under the new National Education Policy (NEP).
The Chief Minister expressed immense pride and joy upon receiving the wooden nameplate, immediately installing it in his office chamber. He also encouraged his Cabinet colleagues to display these thoughtful gifts in their chambers. The children, along with their teacher, Shri Shivcharan Sahu, met the Chief Minister at the Ministry, showcasing their dedication to preserving Bastar’s traditional art.
Praising their efforts, Chief Minister Shri Sai said, “The new National Education Policy is successfully fulfilling the vision of making education more engaging while preserving art and culture. It is also equipping children with skills that open pathways to employment. The talent and enthusiasm of these students reflect the bright future of Bastar.”
He emphasized that the NEP aligns with Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s goal of empowering students by blending academics with vocational training and creativity. “These children are not only excelling in academics but also in preserving the rich heritage of Bastar through their art,” he added.
Among the unique gifts, a class 12 student, Kashik, crafted the wooden nameplate, while Khilendra Baghel designed a portrait, and Sagar engraved the Preamble of the Constitution. These skills were acquired under the pre-vocational training program introduced by the NEP. Shri Sahu, the accompanying teacher, shared that these artworks have found a market online on platforms like Amazon and Flipkart, generating an annual income of approximately ₹3 lakh.
The initiative has provided students with a creative outlet and an opportunity to contribute financially. “This is a brilliant example of how the NEP is transforming education into a tool for cultural preservation and economic empowerment,” said Shri Sai.
The occasion was graced by several dignitaries, including Agriculture Minister Shri Ramvichar Netam, Food Minister Shri Dayal Das Baghel, Forest Minister Shri Kedar Kashyap, Health Minister Shri Shyam Bihari Jaiswal, Revenue Minister Shri Tankaram Verma, Women and Child Development Minister Smt.
