TFP Bureau, Raipur, December 31, 2024: In a significant move to strengthen healthcare services across Chhattisgarh, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai has initiated the appointment of specialist doctors and medical officers on contract basis. This step is aimed at ensuring the availability of sufficient medical personnel to improve health services in the state and enhance delivery of medical care to the people.
Following the Chief Minister’s initiative, the National Health Mission, under the guidance of Health Minister Shri Shyam Bihari Jaiswal, has issued appointment orders for a total of 7 specialist doctors and 35 medical officers. These doctors will be stationed at various primary health centers, community health centers, and district hospitals in both rural and urban areas across the state.
The newly appointed medical officers will be working in different divisions of the state, with a focus on enhancing healthcare services in underserved areas. Specifically, 6 medical officers have been posted in Raipur division, 12 in Bilaspur division, 5 in Surguja division, 6 in Bastar division, and 6 in Durg division. These appointments are expected to accelerate treatment availability and improve medical services in these regions.
In addition to the medical officers, the National Health Mission has also issued orders for the appointment of specialist doctors in several district hospitals. The new specialist doctors include Dr. Amitabh Lalji Sahu at Bemetara, Dr. Kshama Chopra at Kabirdham, Dr. Nikita Khes at Janjgir, Dr. Anu Ani John at Mohla-Manpur-Ambagadh Chowki, Dr. Shoaib Khan at Pandri Raipur, Dr. Neel Madhav Gavel at Raigarh, and Dr. Mahima Nidhi George at the Government Medical College Raigarh.
The new appointments are expected to significantly improve the speed and quality of healthcare delivery, contributing to a more efficient and effective healthcare system across Chhattisgarh.
