TFP Bureau, Nava Raipur, January 3, 2025: The Chhattisgarh Government has announced a significant reshuffling of Indian Police Service (IPS) officers across various departments and divisions in the state. The Home (Police) Department issued an official order on New Year’s Day, listing the temporary postings of senior officers until further notice.
The transfer order reflects the government’s strategic approach to optimize the state’s policing system by assigning experienced officers to critical roles. Below are some of the key appointments:
Shri Dhruv Gupta, IPS (2005), currently Inspector General of Police (CCTNS/SCRB), has been appointed as Inspector General of Police (SIB) at Police Headquarters, Nava Raipur.
Shri Abhishek Shandilya, IPS (2007), Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Police, has been reassigned to oversee Law and Order for the Special Branch at Police Headquarters, Nava Raipur.
Shri Girija Shankar Jaiswal, IPS (2010), DIG of Police, has been posted as DIG (Technical Services), Police Headquarters, Nava Raipur.
Shri Sujeet Kumar, IPS (2010), DIG of Police, will now handle the Training Division at Police Headquarters, Nava Raipur.
Shri Abhishek Meena, IPS (2010), DIG of Police, has been transferred to oversee the Telecommunication Division at Police Headquarters, Nava Raipur.
Shri Santosh Singh, IPS (2011), Assistant Inspector General (AIG) of Police, will now serve as Commander, VIP Security Corps in Mana, Raipur.

Shri Abhishek Pallav, IPS (2013), Superintendent of Police, will now lead the State Police Academy in Chandkhuri, Raipur.
Shri Lakshya Sharma, IPS (2016), previously AIG, has been assigned as Commander of the 5th Corps, CSB, Jagdalpur.
Shri Jhaduram Thakur, IPS, Superintendent of Police (Railways), will now command the 22nd Battalion, CSB, Kanker.
Shri Umesh Chaudhary, IPS, AIG, has been reassigned as Commander of the 15th Battalion, CSB, Bijapur.
The reshuffling underscores the state government’s commitment to ensuring efficient administration and law enforcement across Chhattisgarh.
The order was issued by Special Secretary Shri Abhijeet Singh on behalf of the Governor of Chhattisgarh. Further changes, if necessary, are expected to be announced in the coming months.
