11th Installment of Mahtari Vandan Yojana Released

State Government Transfers Rs 651.62 Crore to Women’s Bank Accounts

TFP Bureau, Raipur, January 3, 2025: In a significant step to support women, the Chhattisgarh government has released the 11th installment of the Mahtari Vandan Yojana. Under the initiative, launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on March 10, 2024, an assistance amount of ₹1,000 each has been credited to the bank accounts of nearly 70 lakh women across the state on New Year’s Day, January 1, 2025.

The Women and Child Development Department reported that since the scheme’s inception, a total of ₹7,181.94 crore has been disbursed to beneficiary women in 11 monthly installments from March 2024 to January 2025.

For the January 2025 installment, a total of ₹651.62 crore was transferred to 69,69,399 beneficiaries. Out of this, ₹606.51 crore was distributed to 60,65,160 women at ₹1,000 each, while an additional ₹45.10 crore was given to 9,04,239 women receiving social security pensions.

The Mahtari Vandan Yojana aims to provide financial assistance to women, enhancing their economic stability and ensuring their well-being. Beneficiaries can also track their payments through the dedicated Mahtari Vandan Yojana mobile app, available for download on the Play Store.

This initiative, spearheaded by Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai, highlights the government’s commitment to empowering women and strengthening social welfare programs in the state.
