Chief Justice Emphasizes Improved Judicial Infrastructure in Chhattisgarh

Inaugurates Additional Court Building, Residential Facilities in Raigarh; Lays Foundation Stone for Nyay Sadan

TFP Bureau, Raipur, January 4, 2025: Chief Justice of Chhattisgarh High Court, Shri Ramesh Sinha, reaffirmed his commitment to providing well-equipped courts and residential facilities across the state while inaugurating key judicial infrastructure in Raigarh district. During a virtual event, he inaugurated an additional court building at Gharghoda, a residential colony for judicial officers at Rampur, and a residential building for employees. Additionally, he laid the foundation stone for the new Nyay Sadan building in the Raigarh District Court premises.

Speaking from Bilaspur, Chief Justice Sinha highlighted the importance of quality infrastructure in enhancing judicial efficiency and ensuring better working conditions for judicial officers, employees, and advocates. “Our priority is to provide modern and well-equipped facilities in every district of Chhattisgarh. Today’s inaugurations in Raigarh are a step forward in this direction,” he said.

He also conducted a virtual inspection of the newly constructed residential buildings and courtrooms. Justice Sanjay K. Agarwal, Judge of Chhattisgarh High Court and Portfolio Judge for Raigarh District, participated virtually in the program.

Principal District Judge of Raigarh emphasized the transformative developments in judicial infrastructure under Chief Justice Sinha’s leadership, including the establishment of post offices and dispensaries within judicial premises. He lauded the Chief Justice’s efforts in enhancing facilities for the judiciary and staff.

The event was attended by Registrar General Shri K. Vinod Kujur and other judicial and administrative officers, who praised the ongoing improvements in the judicial infrastructure across the state. These upgrades aim to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the judiciary in Chhattisgarh.
