TFP Bureau, Raipur, January 6, 2025: In a brutal act of violence, Naxalites carried out an IED blast on a vehicle carrying security personnel on the Kutru road in Bijapur district, Chhattisgarh, claiming the lives of nine soldiers, including the driver. The incident, which has sent shockwaves across the state, occurred while the soldiers were returning from an anti-Naxal operation.
Bastar Inspector General of Police (IGP) Sundar Raj P. confirmed the martyrdom of the soldiers and provided details of the attack. According to preliminary reports, the IED used in the blast weighed approximately three kilograms, causing the vehicle to be blown to pieces.
The vehicle, a pickup truck, was carrying several District Reserve Guard (DRG) personnel at the time of the attack. Efforts are currently underway to evacuate injured soldiers from the site of the explosion.
This cowardly act underscores the persistent threat posed by Naxal violence in the region, even as security forces continue their efforts to neutralize insurgent activities in Bastar and surrounding districts.
