Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai Inspires Youth at Yuva Mahotsav

TFP Bureau, Raipur, January 12, 2025: Addressing the youth at the inauguration of the Yuva Mahotsav at Deendayal Auditorium, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai emphasized the importance of loyalty, honesty, and dedication as the cornerstones of success. Speaking to an audience of students, he called them the future of the country and encouraged them to work with a sense of purpose to achieve their goals.

Highlighting the state’s investment in education, the Chief Minister shared that hi-tech libraries are being established across districts, modeled after the Nalanda campus in Raipur, which is open 24/7 for competitive exam preparation. “Chhattisgarh boasts premier educational institutions in technology, medicine, law, and management,” he said, adding that these resources should be fully utilized by aspiring youth.

Celebrating Bastar Olympics and Swami Vivekananda
Reflecting on the success of the Bastar Olympics, which connects youth from the region to the mainstream of development, the Chief Minister mentioned that the initiative was praised by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He also paid homage to Swami Vivekananda on his birth anniversary, recalling his impactful address at the 1893 Chicago World Parliament of Religions, where he introduced India’s spiritual philosophy to the world.

Life Lessons from Swami Vivekananda
The Chief Minister narrated an anecdote from Swami Vivekananda’s life, illustrating the importance of steadfastness. “When faced with adversity, one must remain focused and determined to overcome challenges,” he said, urging students to persevere in their pursuits.

On Personal Struggles and Leadership*
Responding to a student’s question about his journey to becoming Chief Minister, Shri Sai shared his inspiring story. Born in the small village of Bagiya in Jashpur district, he lost his father at the age of 10, leaving his mother to raise the family through sheer resilience.

“My mother is my role model. Her courage and determination taught me to take on responsibility early in life,” he said.

He described his rise from Panch to unopposed Sarpanch and later to MLA in 1990. Shri Sai credited his political mentors, including late Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee and late Shri Dilip Singh Judeo, for shaping his career. He also acknowledged the leadership of Prime Minister Modi as a source of inspiration.

On Peace and Development in Bastar
Addressing concerns about development in Naxal-affected Bastar, the Chief Minister reiterated the government’s commitment to security and growth. “With 39 security camps established in these districts, and through the Niyyad Nella Nar Yojana, we are ensuring the benefits of government schemes reach the people,” he said. He added that the government’s efforts, combined with the active participation of locals, will help eliminate Naxalism by March 2026, ahead of schedule.

The Chief Minister concluded by encouraging the youth to follow their dreams with dedication and contribute to the nation’s progress.
