TFP Bureau, Raipur, January 16, 2025: Under the leadership of Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai, Chhattisgarh has carved a distinct identity at the national level for its efficient utilization of capital expenditure. The Central Government has acknowledged and praised the state for its effective use of funds allocated for infrastructure development, making it eligible for an additional allocation of ₹1,874 crore.

Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai emphasized that the government’s priority is to provide better facilities to the people and take the state’s development to new heights. He stated, *“This additional allocation will enable us to implement new projects, create jobs, and further strengthen the infrastructure of the state.”*

Efficient Use of Funds Earns Recognition
Chhattisgarh’s strategic approach to using capital expenditure for building infrastructure has been a key factor in earning this financial boost. Capital expenditure (CapEx) refers to the allocation of funds for creating long-term assets such as roads, schools, hospitals, and industrial facilities, aimed at driving sustainable development. For the financial year 2024-25, Chhattisgarh has already earmarked ₹17,000 crore for CapEx projects, including roads, bridges, irrigation schemes, industrial growth, and healthcare facilities.

Boost for Infrastructure and Employment
The additional ₹1,874 crore from the Centre will be directed toward new infrastructure initiatives, further accelerating development across sectors. Projects under this fund will focus on creating robust transport systems, modern healthcare facilities, quality education institutions, and other essential assets. This funding is also expected to generate significant employment opportunities, contributing to the state’s overall economic growth.

A Model for Development
Chhattisgarh’s approach to utilizing government funds efficiently has set a benchmark for other states. With a clear focus on public welfare and infrastructure development, the state is steadily progressing toward achieving its vision of holistic growth. The Chief Minister reiterated the government’s commitment to ensuring that every rupee spent translates into tangible benefits for the people.
