Chhattisgarh Government Signs Landmark MoU to Boost Skill Development and Employment Opportunities

Deputy Chief Minister: “A new era of employment and skill development begins for the youth of Chhattisgarh.”

TFP Bureau, Raipur, January 18, 2025: In a significant step toward enhancing skill development and employment opportunities for the youth of Chhattisgarh, the Department of Skill Development, Technical Education, and Employment signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with CSRBox Foundation, CII Young Indians, and Apnatech Private Limited. The ceremony was held at Shaheed Smarak Auditorium, Raipur, in the presence of Deputy Chief Minister Shri Vijay Sharma and Forest and Skill Development Minister Shri Kedar Kashyap.

The MoU was signed by Secretary Shri S. Bharatidasan, alongside key representatives, including Vice President of Apnatech Private Limited Dr. Preet Singh, Vice President of CSRBox Foundation Mr. Mano Viraj Singh, and Chairperson of CII Young Indians Mr. Gaurav Agarwal. Director of Technical Education and Employment Shri Rituraj Raghuvanshi, along with other officials, students, and dignitaries, also attended the event.

Speaking at the occasion, Deputy Chief Minister Shri Vijay Sharma reaffirmed the government’s commitment to empowering the youth through skill development and employment opportunities. “This agreement marks a milestone in shaping the future of Chhattisgarh’s youth. Our aim is not just to provide jobs but to equip them with skills that make them self-reliant and globally competitive,” he said.

Highlighting the government’s efforts, Shri Sharma emphasized that students from ITIs, engineering colleges, and polytechnic institutions will be provided fair and transparent opportunities. He assured that student data will remain secure and services under the contract will maintain the highest standards of transparency and quality. The Deputy CM also urged the youth to register on the CG Rojgar Portal, aiming to align skills with employment opportunities.

A key highlight of the partnership includes free certification courses by IBM, which will be offered in ITI, engineering, and polytechnic institutions across the state. This initiative aims to train students to global standards, with a target of securing employment for at least 10% of participants. “Our youth have the potential to drive change and innovation,” said Shri Sharma. “We must encourage them to think beyond existing solutions and create products that benefit society.”

Forest and Skill Development Minister Shri Kedar Kashyap lauded the partnership, noting its potential to uplift youth from rural and remote areas by connecting them to the mainstream. “The youth of Chhattisgarh possess immense talent, and this initiative will ensure they receive the right guidance and opportunities to excel,” he said, emphasizing the government’s mission to empower and make the youth self-reliant.

The MoU marks a new beginning in Chhattisgarh’s journey toward skill enhancement, innovation, and employment, paving the way for a brighter future for its young generation.
