Chief Minister Hands Over Compassionate Appointment Letters to 103 Families

TFP Bureau, Raipur, January 20, 2025: In a significant address at the ‘Urban Development ke Sopan’ program, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai emphasized the importance of coordinated development between rural and urban areas for the holistic growth of the state. Speaking at the Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Auditorium, he highlighted the state government’s commitment to improving infrastructure, cleanliness, health services, and access to clean drinking water in both urban and rural areas.

Shri Vishnu Dev Sai reaffirmed the government’s vision to uplift socially and economically backward sections, achieving substantial progress in just over a year since taking office.

Compassionate Appointments and Infrastructure Development
The Chief Minister announced the inauguration of 70 urban development works, valued at Rs 15 crore 25 lakh, along with the foundation stone of 813 projects worth Rs 155 crore 38 lakh. This included water supply schemes under Amrit Mission-2.0 aimed at providing 20,511 private tap connections across six urban bodies. Furthermore, compassionate appointment letters were handed to 103 families, ensuring greater employment opportunities for youth.

Swachhta Didis’ Honorarium Increased to Rs 8,000

The Chief Minister also praised the dedicated efforts of ‘Swachhta Didis’ who have contributed significantly to cleanliness in urban areas. As part of the state’s continued support, their honorarium was increased by Rs 800, bringing the monthly amount to Rs 8,000.

Commitment to Housing and Welfare
Highlighting the state’s progress in the housing sector, Shri Vishnu Dev Sai shared updates on the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, which promises to provide homes for over 18 lakh people. The government has also introduced eligibility for beneficiaries with certain land holdings and income levels, ensuring that more citizens can access this vital housing scheme.

Encouraging Swachh Bharat Mission Success
In the area of sanitation, the Chief Minister honored 14 urban bodies for their exemplary performance in the Clean Toilet Campaign, part of the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan. Recognizing the hard work of these bodies, he expressed pride in their contributions to the Mission Clean City initiative.

Maha Kumbh Arrangements and Support for Chhattisgarh Pilgrims
In a final note, the Chief Minister invited the citizens of Chhattisgarh to join the Maha Kumbh in Prayagraj, where special arrangements have been made for pilgrims from the state, ensuring their stay and food needs are met.

The program was attended by Deputy Chief Minister Arun Saw, Revenue Minister Tankaram Verma, and various other dignitaries, all reinforcing the government’s commitment to transparent and effective governance.
