TFP Bureau, Raipur, January 22, 2025: Chhattisgarh’s rich cultural heritage and the unique traditions of the Ramnami community will take center stage at Bharat Parv 2025, held at Delhi’s iconic Red Fort during Republic Day celebrations. Representing the Government of India’s theme “Swarnim Bharat: Heritage and Development,” Chhattisgarh’s tableau beautifully encapsulates the state’s deep connection with nature, spirituality, and vibrant tribal traditions.
During the press preview at Delhi’s National Stadium, the tableau garnered widespread appreciation from the national media. Its intricate design highlights the coexistence of life, nature, and spirituality, offering a window into the state’s diverse cultural identity.
The tableau’s front portion depicts a man and woman from the Ramnami community, renowned for their devotion to the formless Ram. Their bodies and clothing are adorned with the words “Ram-Ram,” symbolizing their spiritual commitment, as they recite verses from the Ramcharitmanas. Ghungroos, traditionally used during devotional singing, are prominently displayed alongside them.
The central segment showcases the tribal culture of Chhattisgarh, featuring traditional costumes, jewelry, artifacts, and art forms. A sulfi tree and a trumpet, both integral to Bastar’s folk life, are also highlighted. The tableau’s rear features a peacock, symbolizing the vibrancy and beauty of Chhattisgarh’s folk traditions.
Through this captivating tableau, Chhattisgarh presents not just its cultural richness but also its deep spiritual bond with nature, leaving a lasting impression on all who witness it.
